Condolence From: Jim Hartson
Condolence: I'm very sorry to hear of Chuck's passing.

My parents (George "Pete" Hartson and Janet Hartson) were close friends with Chuck long before I was born. He was also one of my dad's closest coworkers at GM.

I last saw Chuck at my dad's funeral in 2014. He looked the same - always smiling and always a gentle soul to talk to and to be around.

He will definitely be missed.

Condolence From: Mark Laskosky
Condolence: I always enjoyed talking with Chuck about his construction projects, and picking his brain to help me with mine. I remember the first time I met Chuck at work, George Hartson introduced us, Chuck was pleasant then and every time I saw him afterward. God Bless him.

Condolence: Though I was only in Michigan for three years, decades ago, Chuck and I became lifelong friends. He came to our wedding in Rhode Island a few years later in 1987, and again for another visit in 2002. We always stayed in touch by phone or email and we never ran out of things to talk about. He was always so proud of his daughters and granddaughter. We will miss his loyal and enduring friendship and his one-of-a-kind wit and sense of humor.

Condolence: It is with great sadness that I hear of the passing of my good friend, Chuck. We worked together in 22-room at Cadillac in the late 80's and early 90's studying valve train and chain drive dynamics. As both a colleague and fellow pool player, we became good friends and stayed in touch over the years. Since my leaving of GM in 1992, Chuck and I have talked at least once or twice every year since, and also got together a few times to play snooker in his basement. Chuck was a very good pool player, one of the best. Over the many years, we had a lot of good conversations and laughs, always enjoying each other's stories and sense of humor. He was a good friend and great guy. I'll surely miss him. My condolences and thoughts go out to all in his family.

Condolence: Chuck you will be truely missed. As we both had the same thing in common retired and going back to work as a contract person. We both had to adjust to going back to work in out late years however I owed it all to Chuck to hang in there.
We were always called back and would call each other if we heard anything. We comunicated by emails. All the people that worked with him enjoyed conversations with him. I miss seeing him drink his Green Tea that kept him young as well as our similarites like taking our grandchildren to the Redford Theater every year his view on the latest current events etc..always checking up on me to see if I was ok. I never had a brother but ever I had one it would be Chuck...Rest In Peace Best Friend your buddy Ed Golda

Condolence: I have known Chuck since we were 10 or 11 years old. We'd go in and out of each others lives but remained friends all those years. Chuck was to Chicago to visit and to play in snooker and pool championships in Wisconsin. During his visits we talked Detroit Car Clubs , went to VOLO the Car Museum, and talked about the "good ole days" Chuck admired my Christmas Village and make a video of if for me. I'll miss our phone calls and his "HEY KENNY". Always friendly, always had a good sense of humor and always a good friend. God Bless and keep you my friend until we meet again.

Condolence: I truly enjoyed working with Chuck for a number of years in the old Cadillac Engine Lab. Retirement parties and get togethers were always a good spot to catch up, as Chuck was always outgoing. Condolences to his family.
