BOIKE, EDWARD WILLIAM
Age 77, long time resident of Roseville, left us peacefully on January 14, 2017. He was surrounded by family who mourns the loss of a beloved husband, loving father and cherished grandfather and great-grandfather. He was born February 21, 1939, in Detroit to the late Frank & Elizabeth (Biezske) Boike. He married his bride of 56 years, Delcy (Wrubel), on May 7, 1960, in Detroit. He leaves behind his wife; two daughters, Cheryl (Tony) Cecchini and Deborah (Vince) Ciccone; three sons, Edward (Lorraine), Mark (Diana) and Michael (Kim); 15 grandchildren, Jesse, Corey (Jackie), Becky, Cameron, Joey, Sean, Dylan, Shane, Andy, Sara, Bryce, Mac, Shelby, Nolan, and Brady; and three great-grandchildren, Sofia, Leo and Mikey. Ed is preceded in death by his brothers William (Marion), Frank (Lillian), Robert (June), and also James (deceased in early childhood). He was a Teamster Union member at United Parcel Service where he worked for 25 years before retiring in 1998. Ed served in the National Guard and is a US Army Veteran. He liked to travel, hunt, play cards, garden, and coach little league baseball for over 12 years. The three things most dear to Ed were his family, friends and faith in the Lord Jesus. He regularly attended St. Donald's Parish where he served as an Usher. During the last couple of years he enjoyed attending services at St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish. Ed was also actively engaged with the Knights of Columbus where he was a Fourth Degree Knight. Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 18, 2017, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home, 32814 Utica Rd, Fraser, MI, with 7 p.m. Rosary Service. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 11a.m. (in state 30 minutes prior) at St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish, 18720 Thirteen Mile Rd., Roseville, MI.
