Paul Klozik left this world this past Sunday, September 4, 2016, after 87 years of living a life full of vitality and conviction.
Born July 10, 1929, in Clarksburg, West Virginia, Paul Anthony Klozik was the son of Ignac C. and Mary (Pirok) Klozik, and the brother of Gertrude Wenglikowski, Angeline Berge, and Martin.

He was taken prisoner of war and was repatriated seven months later. Upon his return he met and married Mary Alice O’Toole, and they would have seven children, sixteen grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren during their sixty years of marriage.
He was a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, cousin, friend, soldier, and a godfather to many.

He had a forty-five-plus year career as a bowtie wearing science and mathematics educator, teacher, and peer who inspired students and teachers alike, igniting a passion for science in his students.
He served more than fifty-five years at St. Pio /St. Athanasius as an usher, reader, Eucharistic minister, and leader of the Blessed Virgin Mary prayer group. He was a devout follower of Our Blessed Mother, always carrying a rosary.
A photographer and traveler, he loved to golf and play basketball, was a fine dancer of polka and waltzs, a regular theatergoer, Indianapolis 500 race enthusiast, and appreciator of music and a good road trip.
An accomplished handshaker and practical joker, he always seemed to be somewhere between a hot cup of coffee and a chilled martini. He has now found peace.
