John James Simmons, longtime resident of Roseville and Clinton Township, died peacefully surrounded by the love of his family on May 9, 2018. He was 91 years of age.
John was born in London, Ontario, Canada on April 29, 1927, son of the late Nicholas and Annie Simmons. John served honorably in the Canadian Navy during WWII. He met the love of his life Betty Mae Parker and was married on June 14, 1947. The couple moved to the United States in the late 1950's and was blessed with three beautiful children of whom they loved and cherished. John was the proud owner and operator of a tool and die business, Amadian Enterprises, for over 40 years. He was a lifelong member of the Masonic Lodge of Roseville Temple 522 where he was very active. John loved a good game of bowling and loved to polka dance. He enjoyed collecting items of his interest and looked forward to his hunts at estate sales and garage sales. Above all, John loved his family and made sure they were all provided for. He will be greatly missed and his light will continue to shine in our hearts forever.
John is the loving husband of the late Betty Mae; dearest father of Llynda (Daniel) Piche', Patricia (David) Biauce and the late Steven (Sharon) Simmons; cherished grandfather of Eddie (Cathy) Wormsbacher, Kelly (Jim) Dulz, Danielle (Frank) Cascioli, and Sherry (Jon Streeter) Simmons; adored great grandfather of Cassidy, Curtis, Katelyn, Cayman Belle, Kelsey, Grace, Shelby, Tiffany, Steven, Harrison.
