Judy Dianne (nee Muylaert) Vallelunga, of Rochester Hills, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family in her home, on Thursday, April 5, 2018. She was 71 years old.

Judy was born on June 12, 1946, in Mt. Clemens, Michigan, to Arthur & Esther (nee McComb) Muylaert. She spent most of her childhood on the family farm in Emmett and Utica, helping her parents raise flowers and produce to sell. Judy started a family and was blessed with her three cherished children; Tim, Patrick, and Judith. She worked as a real estate agent for over forty years throughout the metro Detroit area, making friends whom she would cherish for many years after retirement. Outside of her work, she loved to garden in her many flower beds, decorate her home, cook for many family gatherings and holidays, and always enjoyed visiting with family and friends. She also loved to sew, making many beautiful pieces for friends and family. No matter what was going on in her life, she always wanted to know how everyone else was doing. Judy was also strong in her faith through the many struggles she faced, especially her numerous battles with cancer. She was especially proud to have danced with her daughter down the aisle of her wedding last September, even during illness. She was a truly courageous woman who would let nothing stop her, even into the final days of her life. Her smile and kindness will truly be missed by all who knew her, but memories of her will continue on in all who loved her.

Judy is survived by her beloved children; Kevin "Tim" (Laura) Vallelunga, Patrick (Lian) Vallelunga, and Judith (Nathan Schmidt) Vallelunga;cherished grandson Phillip Vallelunga; brother-in-law Charles Moses; and former husband Walter Vallelunga. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Marlene Moses, Shirley (the Late Samuel) Rhodes, Arlene Smith, and Ann (the Late Donald) Sanders. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 8, 2018 from 1pm until 8pm at the Wm. Sullivan and Son Funeral Home, 8459 Hall Road (3 blocks East of Van Dyke), Utica, Michigan with a 6pm Rosary. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, April 9, 2018 at 10am at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 44633 Utica Rd, Utica, Michigan with Rev. Roman Pasieczny officiating. Instate at the church beginning at 9:30am. Internment at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Capuchin Soup Kitchen.
