Leo was born on May 24, 1941 in the family's Louise Street home, to George Valentine and Virginia (Gardner) Perry. He met his sweetheart at the Fraser carnival and after a brief courtship he was united in marriage to the former Annette (Beger) on February 24, 1962 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Roseville. Annette preceded him in death in July of 2011 as well as his son Jeffrey in November 2011. He was also predeceased by brothers George, Floyd, and Alfred, sister Martha Wachlarz, brother in laws Larry Parsley, Ron Wachlarz, sister in law Dee Perry, and nephew Scott Rubio.

Also surviving are brothers, Robert (Reesa) and Johnny Perry, sisters Rosemary (Sal) Rubio, Alice (Paul) Fichera, sister in law Virginia Perry, several nieces and nephews and numerous special friends.
As a teenager Leo worked on the Puffpaff family farm in Fraser, Bussons Fruit Market, and Mt. Clemens Pottery. In his early 20's he went to work for A.W.T. Metal Specialties where he worked for over 40 years until his retirement.
Leo was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He was known as "Mr. Friendly"for his outgoing personality, and had many special longtime friends. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and hunting and spending time with family and friends.
Visitation will take place on Friday, February 23 at the Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home, 32814 Utica Road, from 2 to 8 p.m. and at church on Saturday a half hour before Mass.
Mass for Leo will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. at St. Margaret Catholic Church in St. Clair Shores.
Burial will take place in Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Twp. This date that he is being buried is sentimental to our family as it was 56 years ago that he stood at the altar and was married to our mother. With his burial next to our mother they are now reunited together again forever.
