Obituary for Charles Paul Rattee Sr.

Charles Paul Rattee Sr.
Charles Paul Rattee Sr., longtime resident of Clinton Township, died peacefully in his home surrounded by the love of his family on January 24, 2018. He was 86 years of age.

Charles was born in Roseville, Michigan on December 30, 1931, son of the late William and Laura (Schmidt) Rattee. He served our country honorably in the U.S. Army. Charles was blessed with seven beautiful children of whom he loved and cherished. He was the proud owner and operator of Rattee Heating and Cooling of East Detroit for many years. Charles was the "Jack of All Trades" who was always busy tinkering around and helping others. He was a very generous, loving man who was quite humble. Charles was a faithful man, who served Temple Baptist Church of Roseville. Above all, the compassion and friendship Charles extended to others was a blessing. He will be deeply missed.

Charles is the loving father of Charles Paul (Shawna) Rattee Jr., Clifford Rattee, Marie (Paul) Cilluffo, Dennis (Lisa) Rattee, Glenn (Patricia) Rattee, Frederick (Chikayo) Rattee and Kathleen Rattee; cherished grandfather of twelve beautiful grandchildren, eleven dear great grandchildren and one on the way; and brother of Laura Weir and Gerald (Miriam) Rattee and the late John Rattee and William Rattee Sr.

Visitation will be held at Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home, 32814 Utica Road, Fraser, on Sunday from 2pm - 8pm. A funeral will be held at Temple Baptist Church on Monday at 11am with additional visitation at 10am. Memorial contributions in Charles' name to the church appreciated.
