Thomas Jefferson Clair, a resident of Fraser died early Thursday morning in Henry Ford Macomb Hospital at the age of 79 years.
Thomas was born in Elbert, West Virginia on September 29, 1932, a son of the late Avery and Mary (Vincent) Clair. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Air Force in the early fifties. Thomas was united in marriage to his beloved wife, Wanda M. Greene in 1957 in Toledo Ohio. The couple was residents of Fraser since the early 60’s. Thomas had worked for the Bower Roller Bearing plant in Detroit and later for over 13 years and retiring from Ford Motor as an automatic welder. He was an avid sports fan and a member of the UAW. Tom was a hard working man who always provided for his family and will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
Thomas is survived by his loving son, Thomas Jeffrey Clair, his brother, John M. Clair and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving and devoted wife, Wanda on December 9, 2007, and by sisters, Louise Houck, Doris J. Carr and Michelle Morel.
Visitation will be held at the Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home, 32814 Utica Rd., Fraser, Wednesday, June 6, from 2pm till 9pm and Thursday at New Life Baptist Church, 17301 13 Mile, Fraser, from 10:30 till time of funeral services at 11am with the Rev.
