Obituary for Susan Emily Kloosterboer (Vandevelde)

Susan Emily Kloosterboer, a resident of Fraser, was received into the open arms of Jesus following surgery in Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit on Thursday evening. She was 61 years of age.

Susan was born in Detroit on June 12, 1957, a daughter of the late Thomas and Cynthia (Caruthers) Vandevelde.
She was united in marriage to her beloved husband, Steve W. Kloosterboer on July 8, 1989 in Gross Pointe. The couple made their home in Detroit moving to Fraser in 2004. Susan was a Operations Manager for the Raymond James Financial Company for over 30 years until her health forced retirement at the age of 54. Susan loved photography, local politics, exploring parks and had a love of nature. She was an excellent baker and enjoyed providing delicacies to others. She was very active with the PBCers organization touching others with thought priorities and kindness. Her outgoing and love of others will be deeply missed by many.

Susan is survived by her devoted husband, Steve; her loving children, Brent and Kay; brothers Reed (Michaeline) and John Vandevelde and her sister, Cindi Cronin.

A memorial gathering will be held at the Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home, 32814 Utica Rd., Fraser, Saturday from 2pm till time of memorial service at 4pm. Memorial contributions in her honor to PBCers.org appreciated. Share memories with the family at www.faulmannwalsh.com
