Obituary for Carol Ann Gravlin (White)

Carol Ann Gravlin (nee White), passed away peacefully on March 9, 2019 at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Clinton Twp. She was 73 years old.

Carol was born on February 22, 1946 in Detroit, Michigan to John Leo and Rita Ann (nee Hammel) White. She grew up in Warren and graduated from Lincoln High School. Carol was blessed with two beautiful children, Laura and Julie, whom she always cherished. Carol met and married the love of her life, David Gravlin on June 29, 1985 in Warren, Michigan. They enjoyed every moment together, whether they were traveling or spending time with family. Carol worked for many years as an administrative assistant for Daimler Chrysler. Outside of her work, she enjoyed gardening, reading, watching Fox News, and listening to talk radio. Above everything, Carol loved her entire family and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She could be found supporting her grandchildren at any type of event they were participating in. No matter what was going on in her life, she always wanted to know how everyone else was doing. She was a truly courageous woman who would let nothing stop her, even into the final days of her life. Her smile and kindness will truly be missed by all who knew her, but memories of her will continue on in all who loved her.

Carol is the loving mother of Laura (Kevin) Vallelunga and Julie (Curt) Redinger; cherished "Gummy" to Phillip Vallelunga, Samantha Redinger, and Nicholas Redinger; and the beloved sister of Irene (Don) Vella. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Carol was preceded in death by her loving husband and parents.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 24, 2019 from 1-7pm with a funeral service at 5pm at the Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home, 32814 Utica Road, Fraser, Michigan 48026 with Fr.
